DNS Updates, Shell Access Changes

Since the emergence of the Kaminsky DNS flaws we have been taking steps to update our BIND DNS servers to prevent the flaw from affecting our systems and customers. The last of those changes was made live Tuesday, July 29. Due to an oversight some customers were unable to resolve hostnames last night and early this morning. That has been corrected. More changes are on the way.

Verizon Circuit Outage

VerizonOne of our Verizon circuit providing DSL connectivity has developed severe errors and we have been notified by Verizon that they are taking the circuit offline periodically for repairs. This will affect most Verizon circuits for at least the next hour and perhaps longer. We have no estimated time of repair as yet but will update this notice once more information is available. We apologize for this inconvenience.
Update: The circuit problems have resisted all efforts by Verizon engineers to repair and is still causing errors on DSL circuits. (Symptoms manifest as periodic severe packet loss)
